When a document is submitted for translation or transcription, it undergoes a comprehensive process involving multiple team members dedicated to ensuring the final product is meticulously checked and perfected before completion. In addition to the linguist, editor, and proofreader, there are project managers and potentially desktop publishing professionals all collaborating to deliver your finished translation. With such numerous individuals involved, any mistakes are certain to be identified prior to finalizing the project.
The Project Manager is in charge of leading the entire project. They are the ones who choose the translator(s), editor(s), and proofer(s) and communicate between these teams and you, to make sure that everything runs smoothly. The PM also collaborates with the linguist and editor to fix any errors found during QA. Depending on your project's size, you may have multiple translators and editors, but usually one Project Manager overseeing the process. An experienced Project Manager will be your main contact throughout the project, ultimately responsible for identifying and resolving any errors in the project.
Your chosen translator will possess extensive knowledge as a subject matter expert in your specific field and native proficiency in the language of your target audience. With deep expertise and practical experience, the translator is adept at understanding and effectively conveying the content in your desired language. The translator carefully reviews the finished translation for accuracy, style, and consistency before returning it to the Project Manager.
The editor contributes additional expertise in the subject matter and native language fluency to enhance your translation project. They review the translator's work to identify and rectify any errors before advancing it through the system. Additionally, they conduct Linguistic Quality Assurance to ensure that the translation is precise, accurate, and easily understandable. If the LQA team discovers any errors, they will inform the PM, who will then return it to the editor for further review and correction of any mistakes.
The final stage of the translation process involves carefully and thoroughly reviewing the layout and content by our in-house QA staff to guarantee accuracy and quality. After completing the review process, we can confidently deliver a high-quality translated document that meets the requirements and expectations of our clients. Our commitment to accuracy and quality ensures that the translated content will effectively convey the intended message to the target audience. We strive to uphold the highest standards in our translation services, and we are dedicated to providing reliable and professional solutions for our clients' translation needs.
The selected transcribers will have substantial expertise in your particular field and native fluency in the language of your target audience. With profound knowledge and experience, the transcriber is skilled at comprehending and proficiently expressing the audio content in your preferred language. The transcriber meticulously reviews the completed transcript for precision, style, and uniformity before sending it back to the Project Manager.
Upon receipt, the Project Manager delegates it to a reviewer or quality assurance team for further assessment. The reviewer or quality assurance team carefully examines the transcription to ensure accuracy, identify any errors or inconsistencies, and make necessary corrections before finalizing the document. The Project Manager then signs off on the transcript and issues a Certificate of Veracity.
